RAMADAN AT IT'S PEAK : When fasting clashes with famine!

What prayer can a hungry person pray?. It is no longer news that Nigeria is presently experiencing famine . The shortage of food and irregularities of meal is central to this suffering and it is all as a result of economic crisis in the country. How beautiful and easy it would have been if after fasting, one is able to grab a healthy meal to eat , but now that food is not plentiful, how would that be possible?,Tell me!
Sarcastically, I would say Ramadan is at its peak , because fasting has clashed with famine.
Prayer is meant to be said wholeheartedly and, with the aim that what has been whispered is heard by God . Ramadan is a holy season of prayer and consecration to God .During Ramadan, Muslims aim to grow spiritually and build stronger relationships with Allah. They do this by praying and reciting the Quran, making their actions intentional and selfless, and abstaining from gossiping, lying, and fighting. Praying Taraweeh, like with other acts of worship such as making dhikr (remembrance of Allah (SWT)) and reading the Qur'an (or Quran), is encouraged during Ramadan. As it not only increases one's connection with Allah (SWT), but it is also an excellent opportunity to earn more rewards during the holy month. They also pray in unity with the hope that their coming together as one will invite the presence of God and aid quick response to their prayers.
A text from the traditions of prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Unto Him) shows that if at least three men in a village or in the desert do not perform prayer in congregation, Satan must have certainly overcome them. The Prophet (PBUH) instructed the Muslims to attend congregational prayers at all time, explaining that it earns much greater reward. In the month of Ramadan Muslims get so many opportunities of worshipping Allah. As Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) has said that there are no evil powers in the month of Ramadan who can distract Muslims from doing good deeds . Prayer in a congregation is 27 grades better than praying alone. With such a beautiful belief that group prayer is able to achieve this . Are people really willing to pray in the present situation of Nigeria? .The economic crisis in the country has caused more harm than good to the people. Nigerians have really suffered so much that prayer is not the next thing that comes to mind , especially praying for Nigeria . To be sincere , to pray for Nigeria can be a crime at this time . But then , we must understand that we are Nigerians . We are the people. So when we pray for our country, we are literally praying for ourselves and loved ones . Having this notion will enable us to pray heartily and, with passion.
So, for everyone engaging in this holy act of consecration. This is an encouragement that we should pray for Nigeria . The country might have appeared not comfortable for us all , but if we can still have people like you, who can stand in gap in prayer for we that are weak , feeble and loosing out. It will go along way in restoring hope and breathing life to people. “Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (P.B.U.H) as saying: When there comes the month of Ramadan, the gates of mercy are opened, and the gates of Hell are locked and the devils are chained” [Sahih Muslim; Book 6; Number 2361]. So now that the gates of mercy is opened to us , let us plead on behalf of our nation for divine intervention of God.
